This takes influence from other stories in the holes collection, it is a web of intrigue, within it are elements that are associated with Holmes Stories. The Type "Sherlock Holmes" for the book was hand designed.

this was my original idea, which was quite dark because of the dystopian subject matter, the idea was unused.

Alternative movie art for Posterspy / Sony Pictures

This was my illustrative entry for a PosterSpy Competition 2019 for How to Train your Dragon : The Hidden World, the release of the third film in the trilogy. The illustration is completely vector created in Adobe Illustrator.

This was my first entry as a PosterSpy Pro for their monthly Art Challenge Pixel Memories. Sonic was the first game I played on my first real gaming console the Sega megadrive, I wanted to change the perspective from my usual illustrations, “getting sonic to jump a as high as he can, like he was gonna burst off of the poster edges”, for the rest of sonics world I made it smaller at the back of the image and larger moving forward, “I had a lot of fun making one”, 70one.

This was my entry for PosterSpy’s Monthly Art Challenge, October being Creepy Creations.

I wanted to commit in fully to the challenge so this is a 36 × 24” alternative movie poster completely created in vector in Adobe Illustrator. “I've been a huge fan of John carpenter movies, especially if they're starring Kurt Russell, this is a cult classic, I hope I did it some justice”, 70one.

This was my first idea, and still one of favourite posters I have designed. The illustration was supposed to pop off the page using gradient overlays in Photoshop.

It takes influence from old dinosaur movies I watched as a child, the original Jurassic park trilogy, B-movies and Doug Maclure movies.

This was an alternative poster I designed for sale at A2/A1 size, and on the rear of the tri-fold leaflets, during my early days of university., back then I was experimenting with my illustration work and photo manipulations.

The idea behind it was to show fossils laying underground waiting to be discovered. It was never used in the end as it didn't really work with the other assets I created.

The Idea was to combine fossils of Dinosaurs and information about the RIGS Fossils talk.

This is the same as the previous image with a shift in the colour palette.

This was my first design for the brief. It is supposed to represent elements within the book, and visualise them explicitly. 

This was my second idea for the brief. This is supposed to visually represent  elements within the novel, the faux religion Mercerism, in this instance. the poster is supposed to represent these themes in an implicit way, using a quote that suits but that is un related to the book.

This was another idea for an explicit version of the Do Androids Poster, this was never used, but I include it because it was a nice design, which took 2-3 days to hand illustrate all the vector artwork feathers.

This takes influence from the research into the Vietnam war between the united states and Vietnam from the 1950's through to the 1970's.

The idea was based on the last bombing run ever made by the US over South East Asia.

This took influence from research into covert spying and data mining operations by the US.

MYSTIC is a formerly secret program used since 2009 by the US National Security Agency (NSA) to collect the metadata as well as the content of phone calls from several entire countries. The program was first revealed in March 2014, based upon documents leaked by Edward Snowden.

This piece takes its influence from research into escapology and magicians and Houdini and his Water Tank escape, one of the greatest escape tricks ever attempted at the time.

Using The Cheshire School logo in a real world situation.

This was my proposed logo for the entire MCC college campus.

The idea behind this was using triangles to show strength, structure, stability. In the logo design It represents direction, in education and future plans.The colour palette directly links back to MCC, this came from 5 archived prospectus found during research.

Using The Arts logo in a real context

This was my idea for The Arts dept. Again the theme was triangles/strength/stability, I used the same colour palette for all four logos for continuity. The design naturally formed a shape giving the logo a sends of direction.

Using the logo in a real world situation.

This is the design for the new Professional Studies campus in Winsford. The logo uses the same elements as the previous 2 logos, but still gives a sense of direction in its shape but still manages to be a standalone logo.

This was the final logo for the STEM Dept, again it uses all the same elements from the previous 3 logos, but  still manages to be a standalone logo, and unintentionally look like a space rocket.

I used this mockup to show how the logo could be used in context.

This was the front cover artwork for 'Cuba Neils". I was asked to make substantial changes to all the supplied artwork for copyright reasons, but still make it look original.

This is the rear cover of the CD, the image was supplied by Darroll, and we collaborated over the design of all the typography on the CD/album.

This is the artwork and type for the front inside cover. Again I collaborated with Darrroll over the the style of all the Typography.

The artwork was adjusted the same as the front cover. No type was required as this sits behind the plastic mount holder for the CD.

This was a lucky shot, when a balloon rally came over the Cheshire countryside. I liked it because of the opposite angle of the con-trail in the sky.

This was my illustrative entry for Printed in Bloods The Horror Spanish Horror Films of Guillermo Del Torro Artbook. This illustration is all digitally created in vector in Adobe Illustration unlike previous illustrations that were hand drawn. This is my version of The Devil's Backbone x The Simpson Tree House of Horror. Unfortunately the Artbook is on permanent hold, even though the artwork was accepted.

This was the most recent and fourth illustration done for a Printed In Blood Artbooks, this is the version with typography I created by hand. The actual version used in the book carries slightly different headline titles.

This was my my illustration for Printed in Bloods John Carpenter's Halloween Artbooks.

This Artbook was solely dedicated to the cult original 1978 film Halloween by Director John Carpenter. Like my Ghostbusters piece, it was Hand drawn, digitally painted, as I was experimenting with illustration styles.

This is my illustration for HAI Hire an Illustrators Jules Verne Exhibition at The Framers Gallery, London on 9th - 11th April 2019. My illustration was called “Nemo’s Cathedral of Light”

This is a freelance project from 2019 and my first attempt a full editorial cover design. Dr Catherine Tregoning, a psychologist who was publishing her first book, “12 positive Thinking Habits” in her area of specialty which was Thinking habits to counter the effects of anxiety and depression had on people.

“Changing your life starts with changing your thinking habits, Dr Catherine Tregoning”

Psychologist Dr. Catherine Tregoning explains why we experience stress and anxiety, guides you through examining your own thought processes,

and explains how to establish a new mindset to replace negative & ineffective thoughts. Your new thinking habits will empower you in all parts of your life.

As with physical health, she advocates looking after psychological wellbeing

all of the time and not just during difficulties.

Hence this book is about prevention as well as cure.

I was asked by the director of the company Darroll Wheatley, to come up with a professional looking logo/Brand for his Painting and Decorating business.

I had loads of rough pencil sketches, I also tried lots of ideas in Adobe illustrator too, until I narrowed down the idea to 2-3 logo’s, once I had the design narrowed down, I generally ask the clients their thoughts on any specific colour choices they have in mind.

I then produce the logos in my colour choice and produce some in theirs giving a few options, it makes them feel involved in the process, then I do mock ups giving the client a decision of what he wants as the final logo.

My first motion graphics project at Salford university. The project was to use certain websites to find assets to re-use, re-purpose, remix to create something new in the same vein as remix culture. My idea was to repurpose found photos, and takes influence from George Lucas's LOOK AT LIFE and La Jetée. Created & rendered in AE.

An experiment in Chrono-photography and wing chun. This was one of a few ideas played around with for my final project at Salford University.

Another Chrono Experiment looking at the relationship between wing chun, movement and time.

Experiment using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Illustrator to track the motion of wing chun practitioners. So I filmed a small sequence one of the practice elements of Wing Chun, single arm with footwork.

I AE I used tracking to signify one practitioner, then did the same with a second shape, the text that shows up is the sequence both fighters go through when practicing.

Leverage, Balance, Hit, Recycle, Reset

I then I looped the sequence for several revolutions. Again the idea looks at wing chun, motion and time.

This was an animation I did for the RSA Awards, I wanted to try motion graphics/animation in the very early stages of my design degree. The project was to animate something to a supplied audio clip, the clip I chose was about consumerism and environmental issues the world is currently facing because of it.

The Theme was "Time".

My research led me to look at C&O's wines, and how and where they were made. I looked specifically at Southern American wines around the time of the incan empire & the spanish conquistadors.

My representation is of an incan god Nancatacoa, The god of festivities, artists, and mantle makers in the a very broad loose sense that had to represent time and relate back to wine or wine making.
